Comparison — content capture rechecked October 14, 2026

Pocket is gone. Here's how to move your saves to Savebase.

Savebase displays captured media, author and original post text in an active social library. Pocket is discontinued; this page concerns migration and current service availability.

1 Post content, author & media

A full saved-post view versus a closed service

Savebase's supported social capture keeps the original author, post text/caption and available media together in its card view. A manually added web URL or unenriched bookmark-file import can initially contain only link metadata. Pocket no longer has an operating web or mobile library. Its historical article reader should not be presented as today's competitor capability. Savebase's current post cards retain captured context and show media without requiring a return to each original social feed. The honest verdict

No tool wins everything. Here's how to decide in thirty seconds.

Pick Savebase if…

  • You want original captured social-post media, author and text together in one library, rather than revisiting separate feeds.
  • You need paid original-media backup for Instagram, Threads, TikTok or Facebook; other sources have different preservation limits.

For former Pocket users…

  • Pocket is no longer available as a current service.
  • Keep any Pocket export you already downloaded for migration.
