Savebase for Developers

Bookmark manager for developers

Keep the fix, the version and the reason you trusted it.

The useful answer is often a GitHub comment, an API documentation page or a tutorial you watched during a debugging session. Savebase is a bookmark manager for developers who want to keep that trail with the framework version and failure mode attached. Next time the error returns, start from your own references.

From save to useful reference

A workflow for developers

Notes ↗

Record the conditions under which a fix worked

Attach the error message, runtime version and configuration detail to the saved URL. Searchable notes make a vaguely titled issue useful later. Separate a tested workaround from an approach you still need to try, so a bookmark does not quietly become an unsupported engineering recommendation.

ChatGPT plugin & MCP ↗

Access references from your AI coding workflow

With Pro, connect Savebase's read-only MCP server to a compatible assistant such as Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT. Ask it to find saved documentation by keyword, source, folder or tag, or retrieve a saved video's transcript. Keep the original links in the conversation so you can verify version compatibility before applying a suggested change.

Webhooks ↗

Connect saves to your own tooling

Use outbound webhook events to feed a custom research queue when a post is saved or deleted. Verify the signed request in your endpoint. This can connect bookmarking to an existing workflow without pretending that a saved link is an automatically validated solution or a completed issue.

Start with one real project.

A small, annotated collection is a useful place to begin.

  1. 1

Bring browser bookmarks through the extension, or use Pro to import a bookmark HTML file or supported app export.

  2. 2

Annotate the references for one current bug with the version and observed error.

  3. 3

On Pro, connect MCP for read-only retrieval or send save events to your own endpoint with a webhook.

Keep your library useful as it grows.

Bring existing references through browser import or Pro file imports. Keep a portable record through JSON export.

JSON export includes active saved records and their notes, tags and folder names. It contains media URLs, not media files, and currently omits transcripts and automation settings.

Duplicate cleanup scans currently loaded posts, keeps the oldest record and permanently removes newer duplicates without merging their notes. Review the scan before confirming removal. See duplicate cleanup guidance.

Choose the plan for your workflow

Free includes any 2 of the 11 supported social platforms, up to 100 social posts, 5 folders and unlimited ordinary web links. Notes, manual tags, per-post reminders, JSON export and direct browser-bookmark import through the extension are included.

Pro unlocks all 11 social platforms, unlimited social posts and folders, dashboard file imports, on-demand AI Bulk Tagging, read-only ChatGPT/MCP access, Notion and Google Sheets sync, RSS, rules, webhooks, media backup and video transcripts.

Media backup must be enabled and successfully fetch eligible Instagram, Facebook, Threads or TikTok media. Request video transcripts when needed; new saves are not automatically transcribed.

Where Savebase fits in your work

Use it for technical references and learning material. A saved documentation URL does not freeze the page or prove a workaround is still current.

Common questions from developers

Can Savebase store code snippets?

You can put a relevant snippet or configuration detail in a bookmark note and retain its source URL. Savebase is a reference library; keep executable code, revisions and code review in your repository.

Does Savebase expose automation for developers?

Yes, on Pro. Read-only MCP tools search and retrieve your library. Webhooks send post.saved, post.tagged, post.deleted and post.restored events to configured HTTPS endpoints with HMAC signatures. Verify signatures and monitor delivery logs; webhook delivery currently has no automatic retry or replay.
