Savebase for Architects

Bookmark manager for architects

Keep precedents connected to the design question.

A useful architectural precedent answers a question about space, circulation, climate or materials. Savebase helps architects collect published projects, articles and public design talks with that question attached. Organize references around the brief so reviewing a precedent means understanding what to investigate, not simply admiring an image.

From save to useful reference

A workflow for architects

Notes ↗

Describe the condition that makes a precedent relevant

Record the climate, scale, program or circulation problem you are studying. Note which information comes from the publication and which is your interpretation. A visually similar project may operate under different conditions; those notes keep the reference useful without assuming its solution transfers directly to your brief.

Folders & tags ↗

Build project and theme reference sets

Use project folders and tags for courtyards, adaptive reuse, daylight or material strategy. A theme can connect references across several briefs without duplicating URLs. Keep published technical claims as leads to verify with the applicable documentation and project professionals.

Video transcripts ↗

Revisit the rationale in public project talks

Request transcripts for supported saved videos to find a designer's explanation of a spatial or material choice. Check the original talk and available project information before relying on the interpretation. The transcript supports precedent study, while drawings and professional review remain in your design workflow.

Savebase quick start →
  1. 1

Create a folder for the brief and tags for the spatial questions being explored.

  2. 2

Save precedents with context, observations and technical claims to verify.

  3. 3

Review public talks and original project information before developing your own proposal.

Keep your library useful as it grows.

Bring existing references through browser import or Pro file imports. Keep a portable record through JSON export.

JSON export includes active saved records and their notes, tags and folder names. It contains media URLs, not media files, and currently omits transcripts and automation settings.

Duplicate cleanup scans currently loaded posts, keeps the oldest record and permanently removes newer duplicates without merging their notes. Review the scan before confirming removal. See duplicate cleanup guidance.

Choose the plan for your workflow

Free includes any 2 of the 11 supported social platforms, up to 100 social posts, 5 folders and unlimited ordinary web links. Notes, manual tags, per-post reminders, JSON export and direct browser-bookmark import through the extension are included.

Pro unlocks all 11 social platforms, unlimited social posts and folders, dashboard file imports, on-demand AI Bulk Tagging, read-only ChatGPT/MCP access, Notion and Google Sheets sync, RSS, rules, webhooks, media backup and video transcripts.

Media backup must be enabled and successfully fetch eligible Instagram, Facebook, Threads or TikTok media. Request video transcripts when needed; new saves are not automatically transcribed.

Common questions from architects

Can Savebase organize architectural precedents?

Yes. Save published project links, public articles and supported videos with folders and theme tags. Add a note identifying the condition you are studying, so the reference is useful during design review rather than only as an inspiration image.

Does Savebase verify building codes or technical specifications?

No. Savebase organizes your references and notes. Verify regulations, performance claims and specifications through current authoritative documents and qualified project review. A saved article or video is a research reference, not technical approval.
