Savebase for UX researchers

Bookmark manager for ux researchers

Keep desk research connected to the study it informs.

Before a study begins, useful evidence is scattered across published research, competitor discussions and methods articles. Savebase gives UX researchers a library for that secondary research. Save the source with a note about the population, finding and open question, then connect the relevant references to your study plan.

From save to useful reference

A workflow for ux researchers

Notes ↗

Retain the finding and its limits

Record the population studied, task described and limitation that matters to your project. Separate what the source found from your hypothesis about your own users. Searchable notes let a future researcher understand why the reference was kept without having to reconstruct the entire desk-research session.

Notion integration ↗

Bring sources into your study preparation

Sync saved references to Savebase's Notion database template and reference them from your research plan. Use method and research-question tags to find the relevant material. The one-way integration moves library records; your study design and interpretation remain part of your own research process.

Video transcripts ↗

Revisit public methods talks

Save conference and training videos and request transcripts where supported. Search for a discussion of sampling, interview technique or analysis, then check the full explanation before applying it. Use this for public learning material while raw participant recordings and consent information stay in your research repository.

A small, annotated collection is a useful place to begin.

Savebase quick start →
  1. 1

Create a folder for the study question and tags for population, method and evidence type.

  2. 2

Save secondary sources with findings, limitations and hypotheses in your notes.

  3. 3

Sync references into Notion and use them to refine questions for your own study.

Keep your library useful as it grows.

Bring existing references through browser import or Pro file imports. Keep a portable record through JSON export.

JSON export includes active saved records and their notes, tags and folder names. It contains media URLs, not media files, and currently omits transcripts and automation settings.

Duplicate cleanup scans currently loaded posts, keeps the oldest record and permanently removes newer duplicates without merging their notes. Review the scan before confirming removal. See duplicate cleanup guidance.

Choose the plan for your workflow

Free includes any 2 of the 11 supported social platforms, up to 100 social posts, 5 folders and unlimited ordinary web links. Notes, manual tags, per-post reminders, JSON export and direct browser-bookmark import through the extension are included.

Pro unlocks all 11 social platforms, unlimited social posts and folders, dashboard file imports, on-demand AI Bulk Tagging, read-only ChatGPT/MCP access, Notion and Google Sheets sync, RSS, rules, webhooks, media backup and video transcripts.

Media backup must be enabled and successfully fetch eligible Instagram, Facebook, Threads or TikTok media. Request video transcripts when needed; new saves are not automatically transcribed.

Common questions from ux researchers

Is Savebase a participant research repository?

Savebase is useful for published studies, public discussions and methods references. It does not manage participant consent, raw-session analysis or research-team permissions. Keep participant data and study records in your approved research repository.

Can I connect UX research bookmarks to Notion?

Yes. Savebase's paid Notion integration syncs saved records into its database template. You can reference those records from a research plan and keep URLs, tags and notes available alongside your study preparation.
