A better fit for what you save

Favourites.io alternatives for your saved library

Favourites.io focuses on searching and organizing Twitter/X likes and bookmarks. Savebase is our first recommendation when you want those liked posts alongside other social and web references, with notes and reminders. Its extension offers Grab Likes for X and Bluesky, so you can build a research collection from returned likes as well as bookmarks.

Separate likes from the references you want to keep

Likes can mean acknowledgment, entertainment or a deliberate reading choice. A reference library is more useful when the reason for keeping a source is explicit. Decide which liked posts genuinely belong in a research collection before copying the whole history into another tool.

Bring likes directly from the original platform

With the signed-in Savebase extension, run Grab Likes on X or Bluesky to save the liked posts the platform returns. Capture depends on your platform session, returned history and plan capacity; scrolling or rerunning may be needed. This is a bulk action you initiate, rather than a promise that every future like will continuously mirror into Savebase.

When keeping Favourites.io makes sense

Keep Favourites.io if its X-focused likes search and folder workflow already suit your reading habit. Savebase also captures returned X likes through Grab, so compare the actual history available and the value of a broader project-reference library.

Moving to Savebase

Grab likes from X, or bring a retained source list

Savebase file import option: Text / URL list

Dashboard imports of app exports, bookmark HTML files and text URL lists require Pro. Direct browser-bookmark import through the extension is available on Free and flattens the browser folder tree. Keep the original export and test a small batch: reused URLs can merge tags and folder memberships, and incoming non-empty notes can replace existing notes.

  1. 1

Keep any Favourites.io export separately. To recapture available likes directly, sign into Savebase and X in the browser and run the extension's Grab Likes action within your plan capacity.

  2. 2

For references only present in a retained export, collect their original URLs into a text file, one URL per line.

  3. 3

On Pro, use Text / URL list to import that file, inspect the preview and add notes or folders for the chosen research.

There is no native Favourites.io workspace importer. Direct Grab only captures what X returns; a URL-list fallback does not recreate old folder memberships, continuously mirror future likes or recover unavailable posts.

JSON export includes active saved records and their notes, tags and folder names. It contains media URLs, not media files, and currently omits transcripts and automation settings.

Questions about Favourites.io alternatives

Can Savebase import my X likes?

Yes. Run Grab Likes with the signed-in Savebase browser extension on X; Bluesky also has a Grab Likes action. This saves the liked posts the platform returns within your plan capacity. It is a manual bulk capture, not a guarantee of complete historical retrieval or continuous syncing of every future like.

Can I import a Favourites.io export directly?

No dedicated Favourites.io parser is implemented. Retain the export, collect the original reference URLs you want to move and use a plain text URL list. Review the preview instead of assuming that any competitor CSV has the same schema.
