A better fit for what you save

Tweetsmash alternatives for your saved library

Tweetsmash is focused on turning X bookmarks into reading digests and a knowledge workflow. Its current site also documents Notion, Sheets, API and MCP access. Savebase is our first pick when you want the X research beside other supported social posts, with notes, reminders and eligible backup for the broader library.

What should change when you switch?

X bookmark curation with reading digests, integrations, API and MCP access.

Choose digests or project review

A scheduled digest is useful for reading a selected stream. A project library is useful when the reference must be revisited for a specific task. Decide whether your priority is a reading schedule or gathering evidence for briefs, lessons, product research or scripts.

Separate X depth from cross-source coverage

Try your X routine and the other social platforms you use. Tweetsmash's API and MCP are documented, so agent access alone is not a reason to switch. The meaningful choice is whether the rest of your references should share the same organization and review workflow.

When keeping Tweetsmash makes sense

Keep Tweetsmash when its X-centered digests, thread reading and existing integrations already match how you consume bookmarked material. Its current API and MCP should be considered in your evaluation.

Moving to Savebase

Move a selected set of original post URLs

Savebase file import option: Text / URL list

Dashboard imports of app exports, bookmark HTML files and text URL lists require Pro. Direct browser-bookmark import through the extension is available on Free and flattens the browser folder tree. Keep the original export and test a small batch: reused URLs can merge tags and folder memberships, and incoming non-empty notes can replace existing notes.

  1. 1

Keep any export available from your Tweetsmash account as a separate original backup.

  2. 2

Collect the source post URLs you want to move into a plain text file with one URL per line.

  3. 3

Choose Text / URL list in Savebase's import dialog, inspect the preview and rebuild project tags and review reminders.

Savebase has no native Tweetsmash digest or workspace importer. A source list does not recreate scheduled digests, reply grouping or API settings.

JSON export includes active saved records and their notes, tags and folder names. It contains media URLs, not media files, and currently omits transcripts and automation settings.

Questions about Tweetsmash alternatives

Is Savebase a replacement for Tweetsmash digests?

Savebase provides reminders to revisit selected saved posts, but those reminders are not the same as Tweetsmash's scheduled reading digests. Choose Savebase for a mixed social-reference workflow and keep a digest tool if that reading format is central to your habit.

Does Tweetsmash already provide MCP access?

Yes. Its current official site documents a hosted MCP server and API. Savebase also provides MCP and an official ChatGPT plugin, so compare the references and actions you need rather than treating AI-tool access as a unique differentiator.
