A better fit for what you save

mymind alternatives for your saved library

mymind emphasizes a private visual library and associative recall instead of a folder-first filing system. Savebase is our first recommendation when you want saved inspiration tied to projects, notes and reminders. The alternative should fit how you work with references, not just how appealing the collection looks while browsing.

Choose visual recall or deliberate project structure

If you remember references by their appearance, a visual library may suit your process. If you deliver a brief or write from collected examples, explicit folders, tags and notes help explain why a source matters. Test the same project in the shortlist before changing your habit.

Decide which references need to survive media expiry

For social inspiration, consider whether the actual media or simply its URL is important. Savebase can back up eligible media from four social platforms with backup enabled. That capability supports later reference study; it does not create a general asset-management or licensing workflow.

#1 · Our first pick for social references

Savebase

Start with Free

Savebase turns inspiration into a working reference library. Bring returned Pinterest pins into board-derived folders, put a reference in several project folders and capture the design problem in a searchable note. On Pro, run AI Bulk Tagging over untagged saves with a preferred vocabulary, reviewing a sample before applying it. Eligible backup keeps successfully fetched social media available, while Notion, Sheets and read-only AI-tool connections support planning.

When keeping mymind makes sense

Stay with mymind if associative visual recall and its private, low-filing experience are the qualities you use most. A structured reference workflow is a different choice, not a requirement for everyone.

Moving to Savebase

Use Savebase's mymind cards.csv importer

Savebase file import option: mymind

Dashboard imports of app exports, bookmark HTML files and text URL lists require Pro. Direct browser-bookmark import through the extension is available on Free and flattens the browser folder tree. Keep the original export and test a small batch: reused URLs can merge tags and folder memberships, and incoming non-empty notes can replace existing notes.

  1. 1

Use mymind's export facility and retain both the original archive and its cards.csv file.

  2. 2

Choose mymind in Savebase's import dialog, upload cards.csv and review the recognized records.

  3. 3

Check representative links and notes, then add project folders and reminders where they help your next piece of work.

A CSV import does not recreate a visual workspace or promise to transfer every uploaded asset, saved card type or relationship. Keep the original export and verify what is represented in the preview.

JSON export includes active saved records and their notes, tags and folder names. It contains media URLs, not media files, and currently omits transcripts and automation settings.

Questions about mymind alternatives

Can Savebase organize inspiration more explicitly than mymind?

Savebase lets you organize saved references with folders, tags and searchable notes, then schedule reminders. Choose it when you want that deliberate project structure. mymind remains an option for an associative visual approach that does not depend on maintaining folder categories.

Can I bring mymind data into Savebase?

On Pro, Savebase supports mymind's cards.csv as an import source. Review the preview and verify a sample after import. Retain the full original export because a reference-record import is not a recreation of every card, asset or visual connection.
